Terms & Conditions

By booking The Dog Paddock, you (‘the Client’) are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions of The Dog Paddock Limited (‘The Proprietor’).

Right of entry and Land Ownership
The Proprietor shall be allowed access at any time onto the land to carry out inspections and any decisions made regarding the safety and fitness of use will be binding. The Proprietor reserves the right to refuse admission to or evict any person from the land at any time.

The hire of the paddock does not constitute any rights over the land.

Client Responsibilities

  • It is the Clients responsibility to ensure the paddock is suitable before letting your dog(s) off the lead. Clients are responsible for their dogs at all times whilst using the facilities.
  • The Client is only permitted to use the paddock during their reserved timeslot only. The parking bays must also be vacated prior to the end of the booked timeslot.
  • Please remain outside the car park until the time of your reserved timeslot for previous users to exit without the dogs meeting. If the paddock is occupied during your timeslot please refer to your confirmation email for details of point of contact.
  • Do not enter the paddock before your reserved timeslot if another person is inside
  • Booking time of 30mins and 60mins includes the Client’s time to arrive, use the paddock and leave – clients must not overrun from their time slot
  • The paddock and the car parking areas must be left in a clean and tidy condition on leaving.
  • All litter, dog toys and dog poo MUST be picked up and removed from site or put in the bins provided. Failure to comply with this will result in the Client being suspended from future bookings.
  • Please notify the Proprietor of any damage to the paddock and fill in any holes your dog creates and notify the Proprietor immediately.
  • Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear – the paddock is a grass field so you are likely to experience all weather conditions if visiting throughout the year.
  • The equipment belongs to the Proprietors and must not be removed from the paddock. Damaged equipment must be paid for by the Client. The equipment is for dog use only with the exception of seating.
  • The Proprietors reserve the right to remove any equipment at any time without prior notice.
  • Children are welcome but they must be accompanied at all times by someone over the age of 18. Responsibility for the children remains entirely with the Client.
  • Smoking, BBQs and fires are not permitted on the site
  • A maximum of four vehicles permitted onsite per allocated time slot
  • Do not bring toys under 15cm into the paddock as they risk being lost – The Dog Paddock accepts no liability of loss, theft or damage of personal goods or dogs
  • Car owners park at their own risk and The Dog Paddock accepts no liability of loss, theft or damage of vehicles parked onsite
  • Only allow your dog to use any equipment if they are fit and experienced enough to do so. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure their dog’s safety whilst playing in the field.
  • Obstacles may become slippery from rain, mud or ice so do not use if you feel it is not safe
  • Glass materials/bottles are prohibited on site
  • In keeping with the law regarding ‘responsible dog ownership’, you are entirely responsible for you and your dog(s)’ safety whilst using the The Dog Paddock Ltd. The law states that you should be in control of your dog (s) at all times and failure to do so could result in you being removed from The Dog Paddock site without a refund and a potential future ban


Booking, Payments, Cancellations and Refunds

  • All bookings and payments are made via the online booking scheduler (Squarespace/Acuity) and payment processing is handled by Stripe.
  • No booking will be secured/confirmed without payment and the correct service must be selected on the booking page for the correct number of dogs.
  • The gate code will be changed regularly, without notice and the code will be sent in the confirmation email. It is the Clients responsibility to ensure they have the code available when arriving at the field.
  • The Client must not pass on the gate code to anyone who is not using the paddock within their timeslot.
  • Late arrivals must still leave at the end of the allocated timeslot
  • If you are booking on behalf of another client and will not be attending the session yourself, you must ensure that all parties have read and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in this document. You are responsible for anybody who accompanies you or attends the session in your place and this extends to all the liabilities and obligations that make up this agreement
  • Family & friends are welcome to share a timeslot as long as you agree this at yours and the other owner(s) risk.
  • Payments are non-refundable unless the hire is cancelled up to 24 hours before the booked timeslot. Refund requests for same day appointments or less than 24 hours prior to appointment start time will be denied.
  • Refunds are processed in 5-10 working days
  • No refunds will be made for “no-shows” or missing an appointment
  • No refunds will be made for adverse weather conditions
  • Booking extensions are not possible – a new booking must be completed via the app with email confirmation received
  • In the event that closure of the paddock has to happen without notice, any bookings during this time will be refunded in full or credited to your account.


In event of an emergency

Dog Health

  • All dogs using the field must be fully vaccinated and up to date with flea, tick and worming treatment.
  • Please ensure dogs are fit and healthy before using the paddock. If your dogs are displaying any signs of ill behaviour, such as diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy or anything else that The Client would consider as “abnormal or ill behaviour” do not visit the paddock.
  • If the your dog or any other household pets have displayed signs of illness in the past 48hrs do not visit the paddock. This may put other dogs at risk of infection.
  • The Proprietor accepts no responsibility for any canine sickness that might arise after a visit to The Dog Paddock Limited.
  • Your dog must carry 3rd party liability insurance – you may have this as part of your pet insurance or household policy but if you are unsure, The Dog’s Trust have an affordable membership https://www.dogstrust.org.uk/support-us/membership which will provide comprehensive 3rd party liability insurance as well as many other benefits
  • If your dog excretes vomit or diarrhoea – please clean it up to reduce the risk of disease transmission to other dogs using the paddock


Dog Handling and Welfare

  • No dog should be left unattended at any time during your visit.
  • No dog should be tethered to any structures during their visit.
  • All dogs must be kept on a lead when outside the paddock and whilst the gate is open.
  • Heavy or harsh handling of dogs is not permitted – this includes both verbal and physical treatment
  • The use of electric shock and or choke collars are prohibited onsite
  • Dogs must not be left unattended in vehicles or out of site in the paddock
  • If you have concerns about your dog, contact your local vet
  • There is wild vegetation and wildlife throughout the Paddock and the Proprietor accepts no liability for the ingestion or poisoning of toxic plants or other foreign objects


Dangerous Dogs

  • Inclusive of: XL Bully’s, Pitbull Terrier’s, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino’s, Fila Brasilerio.
  • These dogs can use the paddock on the following basis:
  • A valid copy of the public liability insurance certificate for the dog is obtained and provided to The Proprietor by The Client prior to use of the Paddock. This must be sent to [email protected] or submitted on the booking form.
  • The dog is registered with the index of exempted dog (IED) and a copy of the life certificate is obtained and provided to The Proprietor by The Client in the event of a claim.
  • The dog handler ratio is always 1:1
  • The dog is neutered – in line with Government Rules.
  • The dog is Micro Chipped.
  • The dog is kept on a lead and muzzled until the gate is shut when entering the paddock.
  • The dog is put back on a lead and muzzled before opening the gate to leave the paddock
  • If the household has more than 1 dog, they can come to the field together as long as they have a minimum of 1 handler. All dogs leads and muzzles can be removed once in the field.
  • Only dogs from the same household can use the paddock at the same time.


Business Users

  • If you wish to use the Dog Paddock for business use such as but not exclusive to dog training, please ensure you make contact with us prior to booking as different rates will apply.
  • Copies of public liability insurance and any appropriate professional certifications and qualifications are required if operating at The Dog Paddock Ltd.


Insurance

The use of facilities is entirely at the Clients (and others connected with the booking) own risk. No claim can be made against the Proprietor for any accident, injury, loss or death sustained to persons, equipment or animals whilst using the facilities at The Dog Paddock Ltd.


Marketing and Publication

The Dog Paddock Ltd reserves the right to use any material inclusive of but not limited to texts, videos, social media posts sent inclusive of The Dog Paddock for marketing purposes.


Privacy Policy


Final Remarks

The Proprietor has the right to remove anyone seen to be ignoring the above Terms and Conditions without refund.

These Terms and Conditions can be updated at any time so please make sure you read at every time you book.
